Technology Zone Programs

Wisconsin's Technology Zone Program is a new economic development initiative to stimulate the growth of technology-oriented businesses. Administered by the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, eight multi-county zones have been designated. Program highlights:

  • Zones are effective for 10 years

  • $5 million in income tax credits has been allocated to each zone

  • Tax credits are available to high-technology businesses locating or expanding in a designated Technology Zone.

  • Each zone contains specific high-tech industry clusters.

Additional information about the Technology Zone application process can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions section on the Department of Commerce Web site.
